Write On Residency

The AMY Project is pleased to introduce WRITE ON, a playwriting residency for graduates of AMY’s Theatre and Poetry programs. We are now seeking submissions for the first-ever participant of this residency, presented in partnership with Tarragon Theatre for the 2018-2019 season. As AMY enters our 14th season and has well over one hundred alumni across all of our programs, we are thrilled to offer a residency program that serves this growing community of young women and non-binary artists. Write-On furthers our commitment to providing young artists from equity-seeking communities with long-term support: affirming creative environments, artistic creation and training opportunities, and meaningful connections with artistic mentors.

This residency provides an opportunity for a past AMY participant of either the AMY Theatre Program or Performance Poetry program to develop a monologue, poem, movement piece, scene, or song, into a full-length play script.

Residency components:

  • FREE to participate
