Uche Ama is a Black, queer singer and performance artist. She graduated from the Music Theatre Performance program at St Clair College 7 years ago. Following her graduation she delved deep into the musical theatre scene in Toronto & has lately found comfort in Black creation and theatre, making her debut at the Luminato Festival in Obeah Opera this past summer 2019. She has had the opportunity to dip her toe in the world of directing when she assistant directed the Peace Camp Festival Performance @ Children’s Peace Theatre. It was thrilling, And she looks forward to getting another chance to make her mark in the directing world. After years of studying traditional musical theatre she really strives to create and assist in creating new, Black centred musicals that provide representation that she always felt was lacking throughout her education and early career.
